Fintelligent Ltd (“Fintelligent”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a commercial-finance consultancy and the controller of the personal information described in this notice. We provide strategic, product, technology, growth, operating-model, due-diligence and business-build advisory services to organisations operating in and around commercial finance.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect your name, role, organisation and business contact details; information contained in correspondence and meeting records; information about a proposed or current engagement; commercial, operational, product, technology or financial information you provide; invoices, contracts and payment records; professional profile information from public sources; website and device information; and marketing preferences.
Please do not provide personal information about another person unless you are authorised to do so and have made them aware of this notice.
3. How we obtain information
We may obtain information directly from you, from colleagues or authorised representatives within your organisation, from professional advisers, partners and introducers, from public sources such as company websites, Companies House and LinkedIn, and automatically when you use our website, subject to your cookie choices.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries; assess, scope and provide consulting and advisory services; prepare proposals, contracts and deliverables; manage client and partner relationships; conduct research and due diligence; administer billing and records; protect our systems and confidential information; comply with legal obligations; manage disputes; develop our services; and send relevant business communications where permitted.
5. Lawful bases
Contract
We process information where necessary to take steps at your request, enter into an engagement or perform our contractual obligations.
Legitimate interests
We process information where necessary for our legitimate interests in operating and developing our consultancy, responding to enquiries, maintaining professional relationships, protecting our business and establishing or defending legal claims, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Legal obligation and consent
We process information where necessary to meet legal, tax, accounting or law-enforcement obligations. We rely on consent where the law requires it, including for certain electronic marketing and non-essential cookies. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
6. Who we share information with
Where necessary and lawful, we may share information with people within your organisation and your authorised advisers; specialist consultants or delivery partners involved in an engagement; professional advisers, insurers and auditors; hosting, email, storage, CRM, analytics and other technology providers; courts, regulators, law-enforcement bodies and public authorities; or a prospective purchaser or successor to our business. Service providers acting for us are required to use information in accordance with our instructions and appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information.
7. International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we use an appropriate safeguard for transfers to countries not covered by UK adequacy regulations, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to approved standard contractual clauses or another recognised mechanism.
8. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary. Enquiries that do not proceed are normally retained for up to 24 months after our last meaningful contact. Client engagement files, contracts, deliverables, invoices and accounting records are normally retained for six years after the engagement or relevant financial year. Marketing records are retained until you opt out or for up to 24 months after our last meaningful engagement, while a minimal suppression record may be retained to respect an opt-out. We may retain information for longer where required by law or in connection with a dispute.
9. Marketing and cookies
We may send relevant business contacts information about our services and insights where permitted by law. You can opt out at any time by contacting us or using an unsubscribe facility. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing.
This website does not currently use non-essential or analytics cookies. Essential technical information may be processed to deliver and secure the site. If we introduce non-essential cookies, we will update this notice and provide an appropriate preference tool before placing them.
10. Security
We use appropriate organisational and technical measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, loss or destruction. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so confidential material should be shared using an appropriately secure method.
11. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access your information; correct inaccurate information; request erasure or restriction; object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing; receive certain information in a portable format; and withdraw consent. These rights are not absolute. We may need to verify your identity before responding and will normally respond within one month.
